Just finished characterizing the first material I made. Conclusion was that its a failure, we don’t even need to do further tests. Redo! Not sure where the error is other than a lack of beginner’s luck. Shall try again tomorrow. Or perhaps I should engage Ainan’s help. Who’s that? He is a chemistry prodigy, now taking modules at Singapore Polytechnic at the grand old age of 8. His father blogs about him and he is on the news recently.

He has a short interview from Straits Times here. I’m sure the kid can do the lab better than me. I don’t even know there is a word called chemistry at the age of 8. \
I’m no prodigy, can only work hard. Redo until I get it right. I wish I am in Japan with Eileen now.
